Elsie began her insurance career in 1978 with a major Canadian life insurance company. During the next 14 years she held a number of positions providing support to the management of that company and their clients. Over the years she has continued to keep current in insurance issues by completing a number of the financial industry's courses, including the Canadian Investment Funds Course, and several accounting courses. Elsie is currently enrolled in a Certificate of Accounting programme at Mount Saint Vincent University."
